Richard Geller, president and founder of MedWorks Corporate Meditation Programs, has practiced meditation for 30 years and has taught for over 10 years. He is experienced in all major styles of meditation and is well regarded for his particular expertise in teaching meditation to novices. His goal in teaching meditation is to make the techniques very accessible and easy to understand by a diverse range of people. He excels at helping client companies create a low-stress, highly motivated, healthy, and productive workplace.
Mr. Geller has focused his efforts on teaching meditation in the business world because he knows first-hand the multitude of stresses that employees deal with every day. He has worked for over 25 years as a |
software developer, consultant, and technical trainer for large corporations such as Fidelity Investments, John Hancock Insurance, Mellon Bank, Chase Manhattan Bank, Merrill Lynch, and Bank of America in Boston, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. While Mr. Geller continues to consult on selective software development projects, his primary orientation is bringing the well-known benefits of meditation into the corporate environment.
In addition to his corporate clients, Mr. Geller has been a regular instructor at the Boston Center for Adult Education for ten years. He also serves as a volunteer meditation teacher at the Suffolk County House of Correction, where he has taught for ten years.
Mr. Geller is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Practicum in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction professional training program, under the direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn.
